Actually speaking you had made some valid points. A vegetarian meal is also murder on the plate as personally I believe every kitchen is a slaughter house of some kind. Millions of creatures die to put vegetables on plate, is a no choice process as we cannot control it, but what about the choice of non violence to a being with similar emotion as us just because it is tasty?

The big picture is the suffering of the animals are straight forward. One can see, hear and ultimately feel them suffering. But incase of plants we don't have that capability as our senses cannot capture their emotion.

My choice of food isn't in my inherent likes or dislikes , but it is based on health benefits as far as vegetables or greens are considered. I like breads very much but dont eat them as it causes bloating , I dislike bitter guard but have as often as it is healthy. I don't consume emotional beings as food as i share similar emotion as theirs.
