Circular economy vs Linear economy
The circular economy is a framework of three principles, driven by design: Eliminate waste and pollution, Keep products and materials in use and Regenerate natural systems. The aim of circular economy is to reduce, recover and reuse resources so that wastes are reduced. The opposite of circular economy is the linear economy which takes resources, makes products and dispose them after use. This is so unsustainable in the long run as the natural resources are always limited and degrading them with waste makes them obsolete.
Circular economy in Indian Villages
Indian villagers live a sustainable life, wherein no wastes were generated from their farm products. In fact, waste served as resource for another user to be cyclic and wasn't getting accumulated in nature . People living in villages in the southern part of India predominantly employ cultivation of rice and oil seeds for their own use and for commercial purposes. Also most of the villagers farm livestock and poultry to supplement their protein sources and grew fruits and vegetables at their own backyard for self reliance of food.
